Hello and welcome to 48 Acres 0f Doodle Heaven !!
Let me introduce myself! I am Barb Gilroy, wife, mother to two amazing (almost) grown children, I have enjoyed a long career as a hairstylist and have worked from home for over 20 years. My husband and I were able to realize our dream of moving to an acreage east of Mayerthorpe a few years ago. I have always loved all animals and as my children are moving on to the next stage of their lives, it became evident that I would need a new focus during this transition.

My love of dogs became that new passion, and as I began studying different breeds, my love for Beagles, Golden Retrievers, and Bernese Mountain Dogs led the way, and then the interest in Doodles became an obsession! I truly believe in the merit of blending these breeds and getting the best characteristics of each, both in temperament and longevity of health with the benefit of low/no shedding coats, making these lovely furry friends accessible to those with allergies. I am thankful that your interest in Doodles has brought you to 48 Acres of Doodle Heaven!
